Welcome to an historic The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival.
This year’s all-new hybrid Festival gives you the opportunity to attend events as part of a socially distanced physical audience, or to watch for free as they are live-streamed for the first time in the history of the world’s oldest literature festival through our digital hub.
Over ten days we have over 130 events in our programme, featuring content unique to Cheltenham, bringing you some of the biggest names in publishing this autumn. Award-winning authors of fiction and non-fiction will join poets, spoken word artists and new voices to delve into a range of topics including travel and adventure, food and drink, lifestyle, history, art and religion.
Our schools and family programme features 34 events to inspire and entertain. Families are welcomed to attend our socially distanced live weekend events or tune in each day to see free events on our digital hub in The Den. Events include draw-alongs, storytelling, facts, fiction and the prestigious CLiPPA (Centre for Literacy in Primary Poetry Award) award for published poetry for children.
