Edna O’Brien, the acclaimed Irish author of The Country Girls trilogy, In the Forest and The Little Red Chairs accepts this year’s prestigious prize and joins an elite list of winners that includes Ted Hughes, Muriel Spark, Kazuo Ishiguro, Seamus Heaney, Margaret Atwood and John Le Carré. In a special pre-filmed interview, The Sunday Times Chief Fiction Reviewer Peter Kemp speaks to her at her home.
