This is our first ever digital Literature Festival for schools and families! Immerse yourself in a world of books with draw-alongs, storytelling, facts, fiction, and even a live poetry show to watch at home or at school. Events are available to watch on demand until 31 December 2020. You don’t need to register to watch and all events in The Den are free to view.

The Beano

Beano is a weekly comic that features the hilarious mischief of characters like Dennis, Gnasher, Minnie and the Bash Street Kids. There’s fun for everyone – comic strips, puzzles, jokes, pranks and more!

Just visit between 5th and 18th October.

Entries must be submitted before midnight on the competition closing date, Friday 18th October 2020. Entrants must have the consent of a parent or guardian over 18 to enter the competition. One entry per person. There is only one correct answer. The prize is 1 x one-year UK Beano comic subscription. The lucky winner will be picked at random from all correct entries and will be notified within ten working days of the competition closing. We will contact the winning entrant’s parent or guardian to confirm their consent to being sent the prize and to confirm delivery details. All decisions are final. This competition is only open to people living the UK. The winner’s parent or guardian will be required to submit their name, email and postal address within 2 weeks of being notified of their win in order to receive their prize. Prizes will be sent within 30 days of parental or guardian (as applicable) consent. All email addresses will be deleted once the competition closes, except for the confirmed winner’s email which is required to be documented for ASA rules. Email addresses will never be used for any other purposes. In order to run our online competitions, we only collect your parent/guardian’s email address and response to enter the competition and the email address will never be used for any other purposes.
